
August 2009 - Gerald Preidl has joined Valere Capital.
Mr Preidl has worked in derivatives for 15 years. Prior to joining Valere Capital he was a Managing Director and Head of Northern Europe Financial Products at Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). He joined RBC in 2004 to manage their structured credit and rates business in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. Prior to his time at RBC, Mr Preidl held the position as Managing Director in the derivatives department of Bear Stearns for six years; and prior to that he co-headed the derivative markets’ team at Bayerische Vereinsbank in Munich. He holds a PhD in Economics from Johannes Kepler University and a MBA degree from Vienna University of Economics. Mr Preidl qualified as a Chartered Financial Analyst in 1998.
