Gerald Preidl has worked in derivatives for 15 years. Prior to joining Valere Capital he was a Managing Director and Head of Northern Europe Financial Products at Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). He joined RBC in 2004 to manage their structured credit and rates business in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. Prior to his time at RBC, Gerald Preidl held the position as Managing Director in the derivatives department of Bear Stearns for six years; and prior to that he co-headed the derivative markets’ team at Bayerische Vereinsbank in Munich. He holds a PhD in Economics from Johannes Kepler University, an MBA degree from Vienna University of Economics, and an LLM degree from University of London. Gerald qualified as a Chartered Financial Analyst in 1998 and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb).
